📌 Introduction
It is outrageous to see how in social media it has become a habit to profit from people's pain, using the tragedies of others for one's own benefit.
📜 Message
Sometimes I stop to analyze the behavior of many content creators and influencers on the internet. When a major misfortune occurs, like an earthquake, they run to look for the photo of some victim, a defenseless little girl, or a family that lost everything, just to gain views, followers, and money for their own pockets. They use the image of people who truly need help, but when the time comes, those influencers do not give them absolutely anything from the profits they fish from the suffering of others.
The most frustrating part is that when the mother of one of these victims decides to open her own page to receive financial support directly and without intermediaries, envious people jump in to criticize and meddle in what is none of their business. In the virtual world, we are just as free as we are in the physical world. If that girl likes to write and wants to tell her own story to get ahead with her mother, she has every right to earn her money directly. Stop doing interviews for freeloaders who only use them; the help should go straight to those affected. As the word of God says in the book of Proverbs, chapter fourteen, verse twenty-one, he who despises his neighbor sins, but he who has mercy on the poor is blessed.
🕊️ Biblical Verse
"He that despiseth his neighbour sinneth: but he that hath mercy on the poor, happy is he." — Proverbs 14:21
🏁 Conclusion
Let us not allow the selfishness of the internet to blind us. Let us always support real victims and put a stop to those who use another's pain as a business.
