Introduction: Who Rules Your Faith?
We live in a world that tells us to "follow your heart," but as Christians, our compass is not our own feelings, but the Word of God. Today, I want to talk to you about the dangerous tendency of trying to mold God to our whims, instead of molding ourselves to His Will and Holiness.
Short Message: The Immutable God vs. Human Feeling
God is the same yesterday, today, and forever. He has already defined the path; if we step out of it, we are not following God, but the world. We cannot pretend that God "understands" our disobedience based on fleeting emotions. The true Christian is the one who decreases so that Christ may increase.
"He must increase, but I must decrease." — John 3:30

Long Message: The Trap of Feelings and the Sovereignty of God
Chapter 1: The Deception of "I Feel"
Lucifer's most powerful weapon is deceiving us through our feelings. Human beings are experts at lying to themselves, seeking for God to apologize for being "rigid." But God does not have to agree with your feelings; it is you who must surrender to His will.
Chapter 2: We Are the Church
The Church is not a building; it is us. And as His body, we must submit to the head, which is Christ. We cannot serve both God and money, nor God and the "what will they say" of neighbors or relatives who only draw near for convenience.
Chapter 3: 7 Ways to Identify a True Christian
  1. Decreases so Christ may grow in them: Their personal desires are always beneath the Bible.
  2. Fruits of obedience: They do not live in relationships or practices that the Word clearly condemns.
  3. Does not seek favoritism: They do not support the "highest bidder" nor silence the truth for a tithe or a friendship.
  4. Is blunt regarding sin: They understand that God is love, but also a consuming fire and holiness.
  5. Is not guided by emotions: They know that the heart is deceitful (Jeremiah 17:9).
  6. Total submission: They understand that the path is delimited and do not try to move the fences God has already set.
  7. Firmness against criticism and blackmail: They prefer to be called a "bad neighbor," "bad family," or "bad friend" rather than failing God or allowing convenience to override justice. They are not manipulated by "I'll do for you today so you'll do for me tomorrow," because their trust and loyalty are placed in God, not in the favors of men.
"But why do you call Me ‘Lord, Lord,’ and not do the things which I say?" — Luke 6:46

Chapter 4: The Trap of "You Scratch My Back, I’ll Scratch Yours"

Beware of the emotional blackmail of those who only seek you when they need something. The world, and even your own family, will use emotional blackmail to try to bend your will. They will tell you: "Help them today, for tomorrow you might be the one in need." But beware—Cira Arroyo Fuentes tells you: that "tomorrow" never comes from them. They only want you to give up your space, your peace, and your security so they can look good to others.
When you say NO to protect what God has given you, be prepared: "strange faces," silence, and gossip throughout the town will follow. They will call you selfish and bad, but remember that gossip is the weapon of those who are not right. It is better to be a person criticized by the world for being firm than to be applauded by the world for being disobedient or naive. Do not be swayed by the empty words of those who only speak to you when they need to take something from you!

Conclusion
God is not going to change His Word so that you can feel comfortable in your sin. True peace does not come from God accepting your terms, but from you accepting His. Let us put to death the feelings that do not agree with His law or that distance us from His will!
Remember: Although man may raise walls and fences to try to block our horizon, our gaze must remain firm and fixed on Heaven. For that is a horizon that no human physical, anti-moral, or anti-Christian construction can ever hide or block in our relationship with God.
