My Official Writer's Manifesto
"Writing at my own pace, with no boss but God, and with the freedom to listen to my body is what I love most. Moving forward steady like the tortoise, because my true wealth is not found in the schedules that others impose on me, but in the peace of sitting down to create whenever my inspiration is born. It is the art of raising little birds so they can fly free just like me while protecting my own peace: I am an independent writer who does not operate under the stress of the world."
— Cira Arroyo Fuentes.
There are people who measure life's success by the size of a permanent job, the security of a government salary, or the comfort of a pension that allows them to plan the future. But rarely do they stop to look at the invisible price they pay for it.
I have seen up close the exhaustion of those who become slaves to a routine and painful work life, getting out of bed no matter what, feeling well or unwell, just to uphold a structure of family life and friendships that they themselves, with the wisdom of God or with the negligence of the world, have created.
Therein lies the importance of which family structure you create from the very beginning: if you build a well -crafted structure of mutual independence, you will have peace and tranquility; but if you make a poorly designed one, allowing a structure of dependence and self-interest, you will be a slave for the rest of your life to your family and your friendships.
I observe that, upon falling into this vicious circle of believing themselves to be supermen or superwomen, these untiring, hardworking, and manipulated individuals transform into machines devoid of freedom, forcing their bodies to the limit and silencing their exhaustion with medication just to meet the expectations that they coldly demand of themselves or that others demand of them. Often, this titanic effort is not even for their own benefit; it serves to feed an interested family and friendship environment that has already scheduled and managed the money before the worker even receives their paycheck.
I chose to be different. My name is Cira Arroyo Fuentes, I am an independent writer, and I have no boss but God. My nature completely rejects manipulation and control. I prefer to move forward at the pace of the tortoise, with a steady and deliberate step, but with absolute sovereignty over my time and my decisions.
If my body is sick and I truly cannot write, or if I simply see that nothing is coming to me, I do not force myself; I let my body rest, I sleep, or I watch television, go for a walk, travel, or distract myself. But when I have the spirit to write, when inspiration comes to me, or when my body needs a release due to some experience or lesson along the way, what I want most is to sit down and flow by writing, making my videos, and taking photos.
That is my life and that is how I live it. I do not know at what point I will earn more money, but I live with a deep tranquility: I do not lack food and I have peace.
I have no one around me waiting to inherit millions from a pension when I die, nor family members making plans with December's Christmas bonus, or hunting for a monthly salary or overtime hours to invent what to spend it on.
I do not share the vision of those families where adult children remain anchored, waiting for their parents' money to spend it on parties and trips without having contributed a single cent of effort.
Since every cloud has a silver lining, due to my health problem I had to raise my children for independence no matter what, under the premise that they must fly freely like little birds when it is time to leave the nest.
This is what all parents or guardians should do, even if they are healthy, because birds do not need to be sick to teach their fledglings to fly; they simply fulfill their responsibility and natural discipline.
True protection does not consist in eternally solving other people's lives or letting one's salary be devoured; it consists in teaching them to fend for themselves in the real world.
There is a huge injustice in the dynamics of many current couples, where both work but one pulls solely for their own family of origin and their friends; yet they use great stinginess or meanness toward their partner's family and friends, even pretending to spend both salaries only on their own relatives and friends, leaving those of their partner pushed aside or forgotten.
Afterwards, by spending all their income externally, they end up putting their hand into the pocket of the other or of their partner, whom they always use as a wild card to get out of the financial tight spots they get into due to their poor judgment. It is a silent form of financial abuse and selfishness toward one's partner.
Whoever chains themselves to an unhappy relationship or a suffocating job just for the benefit of a future shared pension or out of material interest ends up imprisoning their spirit.
There are those who believe that one must obligatorily operate under stress or that they only function under pressure.
I am not like that; I cannot get stressed. I have to live my life peaceful, free, and hand in hand with God, doing what I love to do with all my heart.
I do not know how many people I will help with this writing, nor how many will agree with me, but it is my truth shared with the world.
Life gives beautiful surprises to those who know how to wait with patience and dignity.
At 64 years old, I continue to treasure the patience and the life of the tortoise as an example.
The greatest blessing in this life is to stay occupied doing what we love most because, whether we see money or not, it saves us from spending a lot on meaningless nonsense, on doctors, etc.
What makes people spend the most money is not knowing how to be alone and having to go out like desperate souls looking for what to do in the street, and we already know very well that in the street one only spends, and even more so if we go out with other well-off or opportunistic people.
I think that those who run fast out of ambition get tired very quickly, and soon they stop or are stopped by some health situation in their life for not giving time its time.
Investing my time in my business with God, always creating something new, is the smartest life move that relieves me, gives me tranquility, and the freedom of not being a slave to others.
My mental peace is worth gold and saves me from spending a lot of money on doctors, contrary to the stressed life that many lead, who spend their time always sick and spending a lot of money on doctors and medicines for not having known how to teach others to fly with independence or how to delegate responsibilities so that each one seeks their own independence.
My dream is to have a long life to create many more inspirations like this one and reach my goal with my body as best as I can, my mind lucid, and the pride of having lived under my own rules with God.
While the world stressfully runs and exhausts itself behind self-interest, I celebrate the blessing of my freedom with God.
